Everything but the Kitschen Sync Jurried Show at La Luz De Jesus Gallery!

I am super PUMPED to have two works included in La Luz De Jesus Gallery’s EBTKS juried show held in Los Angeles, CA. The works Nice Thoughts and We Lose When It Counts are also available for purchase on their website online (titles have links for more information). Both works are smaller studies for a new series I am currently working on, Blurred Beyond the Fuck Me Up Fam.

VIEW EXHIBITION

La Luz De Jesus Gallery proudly presents our annual juried group exhibition, Everything but the Kitschen Sync. This gigantic, no-theme show features works from some of the freshest and most relevant artists working today. Again we sorted through tens of thousands of submissions from commercial illustrators, graphic designers, tattooists, scenics, students, street taggers, animators and working gallery artists.  How many will we show this year? There are  160+ pieces from 70 or so artists, continuing the tradition of the most exclusive selection of tastefully, jam-packed, salon-style exhibited works in Post-Pop. There are some familiar names from our ever-growing roster of feature artists, alongside a promising batch of previously undiscovered, emerging talent.

Participating Artists: Adam Maron, Alison McKenzie, Amanda Adomaitis, Alan Forbes, Andrea Shear, Andrew West, Austyn Taylor, Bibi Davidson, Bijijoo, Brett Skoonz, Caitlin McCormack, Cane, Celine Anderson, Chad Knapik, Chris Hiatt, Clare Rosean, Conrad Haberland, Cori, Crumrine, Daisuke Okamoto, Dion Macellari, Dos Diablos, Emily Tsai, Emma Leight, Eugene Sarmiento, Frank Forte, Gabe Lanza, Gabriel Edwards, Gina Altadonna, Grace Brooks, Graham Moore, Hieronymus Schofferman, Hugo D. Mokuhanga prints for Tiny Portfolio Exchange!

Tiny! But hopefully not in spirit. I recently had the pleasure to participate in a tiny print exchange with the theme Tiny Print: Unconditional. The print exchange was organized by Hayley Simon of Kansas City, MO and open to any print medium of choice. I decided to learn a new technique for the sole purpose of this exchange taking into consideration the manageable size requirement of a 4”x 4” print. Final result:

4“x4”
4-layer Mokuhanga print
